About The Role

We are at the early stages of building a team that can bring our vision to life. As such, we are looking for a talented and passionate DevOps engineer who can leverage their ample experience within the DevOps domain and apply it to help us craft our platforms & tools and expand upon well established practices so that we can help reduce laborious and repetitive tasks for ourselves and our customers.

You’ll spend your time

collaborating with other members of the organization to prioritize, plan and ultimately implement technical solutions for our product suite
engaging with customers as part of our consulting and/or implementation services in support of our product offerings and customer requirements
continuously reviewing and improving our adopted modern best practices
automating and then automating some more (infrastructure setup, processes, tasks, tooling setup & configurations etc.) with your preferred scripting language
evolving your skillset and becoming an expert with many DevSecOps related tools, processes and platforms such as:
- public & private cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Openstack) with focus on web services related to compute, storage, networking, container management, data layer, security etc.
- IaC and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible)
- orchestration & management (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, GKE, Traefik, Envoy, Nginx, HAProxy, Istio, Tyk)
- development & CI/CD platforms (Gitlab, Gitlab Runner, Jenkins)
- data & messaging platforms (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- observability and log aggregation analysis frameworks (Kiali, ELK, Prometheus, Jaeger, Grafana)
- Testing & chaos engineering frameworks (Serenity, Selenium, Postman, JMeter, Chaos Mesh)
- Working with various modern cloud serverless technologies such as Lambda, Dataflow, RDS, BigQuery, Cloud Run
- security SCA, SAST & DAST tooling (SonarQube, Veracode, Snyk)
- Implementing cloud security best practices and experience with industry security tools such as Vault, Keycloak, and SecurityHub

You should apply if you

have a strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) and experience using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
are comfortable with containerization, networking, virtualization, data & storage concepts and how to apply them
have strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
derive a sense of satisfaction from overcoming difficult challenges and learning new concepts and technologies
are innately curious and not content with simply getting something to work, but want to dig deeper and understand the how and the why of it
are a thought leader who can’t help but bring their ideas up for open discussion and debate
believe in the power of reusability & automation so that mundane repetitive tasks need not be performed by humans
accept that failure is part of the process and learn from intelligent mistakes
work collaboratively, value open and honest dialogue and communication
